DDOT and DC Streetcar prioritize safety and mobility for our passengers and streetcar operators, especially as we respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

  • DC Streetcar is working to provide provides a safe and healthy passenger experience
    Daily cleaning: We are disinfecting vehicles each day.
  • Hands-free entry: Doors open automatically at all stops, so there’s no need to press the door buttons.
  • Restored service schedule: On September 20, 2020, DC Streetcar restored full service. Service requires passengers to wear face coverings and masks.

Do your part to keep yourself and others safe and healthy:

  • Wear a face covering or mask over your nose and mouth in the platform waiting area and onboard the DC Streetcar.
  • Maintain physical distance at DC Streetcar stops and on board, when possible.
  • Be mindful of fellow passengers with wheelchairs, strollers, and wheeled carts.
  • Leave them room to exit and enter.
  • Keep your hands clean, especially after visiting public places.
