DC Streetcar Car Barn Training Center

The Car Barn Training Center (CBTC) is the operational and maintenance facility for DC Streetcar. 

Located at the Oklahoma Avenue streetcar stop on Benning Road, the building is a national model of historic compatibility and sustainability and was awarded LEED Gold status on February 2023.

District Department of Transportation’s CBTC has received the following awards:
• Washington, DC Urban Land Institute’s Excellence in Institutional Development
• Engineering News-Record Award of Merit
• American Council of Engineering Companies Engineering Excellence
