DDOT Announces Temporary Service Change Due to Ongoing Construction on H Street

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily adjust DC Streetcar service hours on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, and Wednesday, September 3, 2025, to accommodate ongoing work along H Street NE.

On both dates, DC Streetcar service will end early at 9:00 p.m. to allow safe and efficient access for construction crews.

Currently, DC Streetcar operates until midnight, Monday through Thursday. The earlier closure will enable crews to perform critical work along the corridor while minimizing disruptions to daytime service.

Regular operating hours will resume following the completion of this phase of work.

DDOT encourages riders to plan accordingly and use alternative transportation options if traveling after 9:00 p.m. on September 2 and September 3.
